Yes the worship team won again. Grrr.
Never mind we will be going into strict training for next year as of this week.
We will be discussing strategies at our next leaders meeting - which will be at AMF (as well as all other leaders meetings as of this week.) Ha ha only joking - but why do I still feel the pain of "losing."

The truth is we ARE all equal winners in Christ. The truth is the full wrath of God that was meant for us was poured out on Christ as he hung on the Cross and we died with him. When we were raised again (with him), new creations and seated with him in the heavenly realms, with God, He was (and continues to, and always will be) pleased to pour out every blessing that can be imaged and all the riches of His kingdom without limit into and onto and all around each one of us because he fully loves us all passionately. Even if the worship team did win. (I used to be on the worship team you know:-)....

I just gotta say kids church absolutely rocks. From the moment I get there in the morning (tho it can be hard gett'n there) I am just in a spin for Jesus. He just blesses and blesses and blesses us. There is such a great team of leaders. The kids are so much fun.

I love praying together before the "service" - the last two weeks Ive been feeling a little giddy getting into the glorious presence of the Holy Spirit - praise Jesus.

We are so blessed and we have done nothing to deserve it.

Get down on one knee...now repeat after me...

"How ya go'n champ (princess) you're looking very handsom (pretty) today, welcome to kids church, its really good to see you...tell me what have you been doing this week?"

Just add another two more good questions (especially if they are questions that are about something that child is particularly interested in)...

and your a 1/3 the way there to it being a
3 for 3 Sunday (not the chocolate variety)

3 for 3 is a great way to remember and get involved in really honouring the kids of Airport City. It simply means take the time to relate with

three kids for at least
three minutes. That might mean asking
three really good questions or giving encouragements

that'll get the kids (and you) involved in a little interaction, opening the door for a plethora of great opportunities to minister Gods love into their lives.

Prayer

Our vision is to see Kids Church filled with the loving presence and spirit of God. One of the key strategies we have for this is for all Kids Church leaders and helpers to come together (in unity - psalm 133) as a team to talk and pray on Sunday mornings in the Kids Church hall from 9-9:15. We are believing and hoping to see you all there on the days you are rostered on (or getting involved in the main church prayer if not). This means being there even earlier to help prepare for the lessons and set up the hall/creche (partitions, tables, chairs, photocopying etc) if required beforehand (also ask your group leaders what they need help with.)

Thank you so much for getting behind the vision God has given us all to see hearts discipled and lives made more fruitful in Jesus name.

It is so great to have the privilege and responsibility to lionize and encourage and sow into such beautiful fruitful young hearts.

Thank you Jesus.

We want Kids Church to be a fun and colorful place for kids to be on a Sunday morning (or any day)

A place where kids are honored and they can freely come to God the Father through Jesus Christ his son.

A place where they will have the opportunity learn something about being the champions God has called them to be

As you can see, a number of Kids Church champions and parents have been getting together over the last two Saturdays to paint the kids church hall (Vintage White)

The space is now much lighter and brighter (it looks so much bigger and we are sure we can fit more kids in.)

Also some of the old equipment has been removed making more space

With that and the partitions and our great Kids Church Champion leaders leading, teaching, encouraging and inspiring the kids we will now start to use the space for the 7-12s as well

They will be doing a slightly different program in the kids church hall where there is (now more room) and where they will also have greater access to craft supplies etc and less time wasted travelling to and from the school.

And we believe our kids will lead amazingly fruitful lives

Our next project is to cover the partitions with wonderfully colorful fabric - (cant wait to see how great its going to look)

The future holds great promise!

Learning about the kids in Cambodia (Discipled Hearts)

The kids really enjoyed learning about the people in Cambodia and listened about what the teams had been and would be doing next in Cambodia

Our fantastic kids loved getting in and making cards and writing messages to encourage the Cambodian Kids.

We thank God for all of you (leaders and helpers and parents) who are getting hold of the gifts and abilities that God has given you to be a blessing to the kids of Airport City Church. We see an awesome crop of evangelists, teachers, prophets, leaders, encouragers, healers...a ministry team that works together (like the body) to see our kids hearts discipled (learning to love Gods word) preparing each one for an abundantly fruitful life.

We heard another great testimony on the weekend from another Mum who has told us she has been seeing changes in her child who attends Kids Church. He has become more polite and helpful and she really feels that the Kids Church ministry has played a big role in these changes coming about. So lets keep praying, being prepared and taking the time to get to know the kids better each week.

What are you doing to stop people from getting to know Jesus?

The bible tells us that Jesus attracted many people to himself when he was here in the flesh. People flocked to meet him, including the children. We read that Jesus admonished his disciples for preventing the children (and others) from coming to him. In fact the bible says that Jesus will "draw" people to himself when he is "lifted up".

So why do we try so hard to "get" people to come Jesus. We ask ourselves "What can I do to get this person to believe in Jesus?" when in fact, in view of the nature of Christ (and "Christ in us"), the better question would be "What am I doing that is preventing people from coming to know Jesus?" Answer this question, deal with whatever it may be and we may see allot more people coming to know Jesus.

Sorry no sermon from last week, it was not recorded. Bummer. However this is the link to Empowering Cambodia, the awesome ministry that has been set up by Patrick and Carol Kelly (Patrick shared at ACC last Sunday). They are, by the grace of God, sharing the love of Jesus with the Cambodian people (including allot of kids) and where the teams from Airport City Church will go this year (and last) and maybe again in the future (hopefully) - you may be next - pray about it.

Its all about being a follower of Jesus!

That's what were here for, to encourage each other and our precious kids to learn how to walk with God more. This weeks lessons, in the two in between age groups, centred around thanking God for giving us a voice (to talk with God and to talk to others about God) and that God does what he says he will do. And how about Naychi's painting (She's a champion for sure - great preparation.)

We have also had some great participation with the leaders and helpers praying at 9am, before the start of KC @ ACC & take fifteen with everyone sharing their heart about their expectations for the day. Like Kids church being a fun, welcoming and exciting place to be. To see Kids hearts discipled to follow Christ. To be in Gods presence and His Spirit. For our leaders and helpers to be powerful ministers of Gods word and an awesome, united ministry team. Thank you Jesus!!

We are still hearing some great testimonies. Like one mum told me how a couple of her friends boys, when their parents had asked them what they had learnt in Kids Church, how the boys had just blurted out all the things they were learning. This means that what we are doing really does make a difference. And we are seeing some great changes with some of our kids really settling down, receiving and enjoying Kids Church. Praise Jesus.

HELLO, WELCOME TO KIDS CHURCH!!!

Howdy lustrous team of fantastic Kids Church Champions,

Ps Kens sermon is now on the side bar as well as some really fun photos from this weekends colourful, fun, exciting and kid loving kids church morning. Thank you Jesus.

We are looking forward to mothers day when we can bless all the mums with an item and a gift. This is a great part of being connected to the whole of Airport City Church.

Please keep praying for the anointing of the Holy Spirit in our services and for the kids as we reach out with serving hands to really impart truth to our kids hearts which in turn will lead them into amazingly fruitful lives.

A testimony and a challenge..

Howdy Champs,

what an amazing day in big church this Sunday. Great anointed preaching and teaching, more and more people coming to know God by the power of the Holy Spirit each week and worshipping God in his presence...and Kids Church is connected with and just as much a part of what god is doing at Airport City Church as any where.

This week I made a special effort to "take fifteen", a key part of our strategy in Kids Church which we all need to work at, and I was really blessed. I got down and quizzed a few of our kids about their age, where they go to school, what they did on Saturday etc and I was blessed to see the kids really light up at getting a bit of special attention (usually I am caught up in organising or talking with the "grown ups"). Later, after the service, one of the kids saw me and came over and waved and gave me a high five. It just showed me how spending a few minutes getting down to his level and asking him about his week, his day and the things that were important to him touched his heart, made a connection and built a bridge. How important is that, for all of us, to be effective ministers of Gods word to these precious little lives? And how blessed and amazingly fruitful will we all be, if we are successful in applying ourselves to the strategies God has given us?

another great week in church. What an awesome fun time in worship and in the presence of God. Some great moves by Jeffrey and Clifford and the other kids really getting into it.

Thank you once again worship team and leaders and helpers for your champion-ness. God is great as he reaches out, his hands and heart through ours.

Hi team,

Praise God for his provision!

Thanks also to Jamie Tompsitt for her eagle eyes in spotting the partitions on Gum Tree. The partitions came at just the right time and at just the right price and the man even delivered them for us. What favor!

Thanks also to the ACC Cause team for giving us the money to purchase them.

Things went really well in dividing the 3-5s into two smaller groups and the partitions helped make it happen.

Thank you for being there on time and ready to pray together as a team at 9. (TAKE 15 with God followed by TAKE 15 with the kids.) Thank you also for serving well and making Kids church a fun and organised place for our kids to be and for sticking around to help out until all the kids had gone to be with parents and helping to clean up afterward.

Hi Champs,

here is Sundays Sermon.

Thanks once again for your time and effort this week - you really are a champion for getting behind the vision we all have for our kids.

It isn't always easy and sometimes we wonder if what we are doing is making an impact but it can be surprising. The other week one mum came up to us and told us how much her child was loving kids church, she had remembered the scripture, was singing songs and kept asking when she could go to Kids Church next (and we wouldn't have thought it for this kid). So as it says in Galations 6:9 "Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up."

May God bless you richly as you continue to abide in Him.

what a great start to the year it has been. Thanks for putting your shoulder to the wheel of making Kids Church a fun, colorful and welcoming place for kids to be where they can experience the presence of God and get their fresh little hearts discipled for a life of fruitfulness.
The sermon this week by Pastor Ken (just press play above - even plays on iphones) was excellent and I encourage you to listen and take it in. I am sure that as the Hoy Spirit speaks to YOUR heart he will tweak it just a bit and tune you up for more fruitfulness.
